Partney Church of England (Aided) Primary School are looking for a Class Teacher for Year 1 and 2.
Full-time, Temporary for 2 terms with a view to becoming permanent. 32.5 hours a week; MPS Scales 1-3 depending on experience (£28,000 – £31,750)
Start date: 4th September 2023
- To teach a class of mixed age Key Stage One pupils.
- To plan, prepare, assess, record and report according to National Curriculum, Statutory requirements and Teachers Standards.
- To maintain the values and Christian Ethos of Partney Church of England (VA) School.
- To support initiatives directed by the Senior Leadership Team and Governors.
- To plan appropriately to meet the needs and identify starting points of all pupils in a mixed year class.
- To set clear targets and challenges based on prior attainment for pupils’ learning.
- To be accountable for the progress and attainment of pupils taught.
- To provide a stimulating and engaging classroom where resources can be accessed appropriately by all pupils.
- To keep efficient records, communicating the progress and attainment of pupils both formally and informally.
- To develop a sense of self-regulation and positive learning behaviours in pupils, using a restorative approach in accordance with the school behaviour policy.
- To demonstrate adherence to school policies and teachers standards.
- To participate in meetings which relate to school improvement, CPD, curriculum, administration and organisation.
- To positively engage with the school staff appraisal cycle to ensure professional development.
- To communicate and co-operate with specialists from outside agencies.
- To lead, organise and direct support staff within the classroom.
- To communicate regularly and clearly with parents and carers.
- May be suitable for an ECT candidate or in early years of employment.
