Job description
Are you a committed and caring teacher who is looking for a new challenge? Are you passionate about children’s wellbeing and learning? Are you an enthusiastic individual who will act as a strong role model? Regardless of experience (including NQTs), if you are driven by enabling children to achieve their full potential and want to become part of a nurturing and encouraging team, then we are the school for you!
St John’s CE Primary School N20 is a thriving and popular one-form entry school within the London Borough of Barnet. We enjoy a family atmosphere where every child is well known and highly valued.
“Pupils are rightly very proud of their school. They show this by working hard, looking after their environment and taking care of each other. Pupils said they enjoy school so much because everyone knows everyone. They look forward to learning and, like their teachers, have high expectations. All pupils learn successfully here” OFSTED - Good July 2022.
Due to relocation, we have a fabulous opportunity for a highly motivated teacher, who possesses all the necessary teaching skills, to develop their career. Likely to be teaching in Key Stage 2 (although this is negotiable), the chosen candidate will be apt at planning, adaptation and modelling to meet the needs of all children in the class. He/she will be dedicated to enthusing and stimulating children of all abilities to enable them to make the maximum possible progress. He/she will be engaging, conscientious and capable of building and maintaining strong relationships within the school community. They will benefit from an excellent support network, professional development and a safe, happy school to work at.
“The absolute clarity and commitment of the headteacher in leading a Christian school is shared by all leaders and governors. As a result the whole school community is highly motivated and fully supports the ethos of the school, sharing a ‘can do’ mind-set.” SIAMS - Outstanding July 2017
We are in partnership with All Saints’ Church of England Primary School in Child’s Hill, NW2. This means that we enjoy many mutual benefits across the two schools, including the ability to offer a wider range of job and promotion opportunities and collaboration over a stand-alone one-form-entry primary school is able to offer.
Prospective candidates are warmly invited to email/call the office for any further information and/ or arrange a school visit.
