A career within External Audit services, will provide you with the opportunity to provide a range of Assurance services and business advice to a variety of clients from small, fast growing clients to large entities. Our clients are often well known brands and many have broad international reach. We focus on using the latest technology to reduce the level of manual testing ensuring you’ll focus on the most valuable areas of client service and on enhancing corporate governance and the reliability of our clients’ information.A position on our school & college leaver Audit programme is one of the earliest ways of joining PwC to start training for a professional qualification.
Our school & college leaver programme students get involved in many different tasks, supporting our audit teams on assignments working for FTSE 100 companies, large multinational organisations as well as small, fast-growing enterprises, charities and government bodies.
You will learn about all aspects of an audit and you will be given responsibility. For example:
- Reviewing assets
- Attending stocktakes
- Calculating depreciation
- Verifying expenditure and preparing accounts
- Collating company information
- Dealing with clients' creditors, suppliers and customers
Each audit will involve some office-based work, but the majority of your time will be spent out at clients' offices. This may involve frequent travel and sometimes staying away from home.
Professional Qualifications
You will be able to study towards the ACCA qualification to become a Chartered Certified Accountant.

Academic Requirements
A minimum of 112 UCAS points in one sitting. The subject of your A-levels are not important.
Do you need a Work Permit?
Due to immigration restrictions in Jersey and Guernsey the Channel Islands practice is unable to consider trainee candidates who require work permits. Work permits are currently only granted once candidates are fully professionally qualified.
