The Menu Partners Ltd are looking for passionate and experienced Category C (Class 2) licensed drivers to join the Brighton team.
Job Function:
The HGV Class 2 Driver’s role playing a key part of in the timely delivery of key items, you'll be assisting in a key area of the business helping to drive better efficiency and customer success.
You will ensure that the operation performs effectively and efficiently on a daily basis and complies with all Legal, Health and Safety, Hygiene regulations and Company Policies. You will be aiming to deliver a “best in class” facility for operational efficiency.
As a HGV Class 2 Driver you will be working both alone and as part of a team with efficiency and commitment to complete your work and strive to maintain the business performance targets.
You will need to be an engaged and committed individual working within our transport team to deliver goods to our customers in multi-temperature-controlled vehicles. You will be primarily delivering to customer sites with occasional deliveries to our other depots.
Our core requirement are drivers who have attention to detail and committed to becoming an important part of our food service team.
Hours will be on average 48 working hours per week within the legal driving hours requirement.
Shifts will be: 5am - 1pm (6 days a week) & Monday - Saturday. This role will require working every other Saturday on a rotational basis.
This is a full-time and permanent role.
Principle Responsibilities:
Following routed deliveries & collections within and around London and surrounding areas. (Monday to Saturday)
Assisting in loading assembled orders onto vehicles ensuring that the payload is within the limits for the vehicle and that the permissible axle weights are not exceeded and that goods are safely loaded for transportation and delivery
Ensure that the Company vehicle allocated is maintained in a roadworthy and clean condition, documenting appropriate routinely checks and reporting any faults immediately.
Ensure all scheduled deliveries are completed on time, in full on a daily basis, utilising the relevant route planning tools
Deliver to customers as directed and assist with unloading and taking to final delivery point as requested. Report any problems with delivery sites.
Being the company’s eye’s and ear’s when out on the road and relaying necessary information to the team
Representing the company to the highest standard
Maintenance of your company vehicles and daily checks
Completing in full daily paperwork
Minimising levels of wastage by correctly maintaining & storing products.
Help to complete other tasks when requested
Skill Requirements:
Class 2 driving licence
Have no major endorsements on your licence
Ability to learn quickly
Digital tachocard required
Enthusiastic and highly driven individual
