Established in 1985, Mekatek Limited has been developed to become one of the major Recycling and Waste Management organisations in Wales. Operating specialist treatment facilities in two key locations in South Wales enables us to provide a complete service offering to our customers no matter how diverse their requirement.
HGV Class 1 Driver/ Site Service Operative
As part of our expansion program, we are looking to recruit additional Class 1 Drivers to drive and operate a variety of vehicles including tankers, curtain siders and hook loaders.
Essentially, we collect hazardous and non-hazardous waste, including sewage and leachate delivering into our Carmarthen site using both tanker and curtain sided trailers.
This role will also include an element of industrial site services work, providing a variety of site base services to our customer base and on our own sites (specialist training will be provided).
The successful applicants need to have a flexible approach and will be required to work mostly Monday - Friday with occasional weekend work and nights out as per the needs of the business. The daily start and finish times will vary to meet customer needs.
The successful candidates will also be required to be part of a weekend on call rota.
What we are looking for:
- Punctual & motivated HGV Class 1 Drivers
- Polite and well-presented drivers, with good customer service skills
- A driver that can take pride in the work and equipment that we have.
- Flexibility to cover the unexpected
Requirements of the Role:
· No more than 6 penalty points for driving offences or recent driving bans.
· Valid Digital Tachograph Card
· Valid CPC Card
· ADR, and/or confined spaces training would be an advantage, but training will be given to the right candidates
