Job Title: Category C+E HGV Driver

Location: Cannock, United Kingdom

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Competitive

Job Start - End of March / April 2023 (TBC)

We are currently looking for a Category C+E HGV Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transport operation, you will play an essential role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of goods throughout the UK.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate Category C+E HGV vehicles safely and efficiently in accordance with UK driving regulations
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks, reporting any defects or issues to the Transport Manager
  • Load and unload goods in a safe and secure manner, ensuring that all loads are correctly secured and adhering to health and safety guidelines
  • Provide excellent customer service, communicating with customers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods
  • Keep accurate records of all deliveries and collections
  • Ensure that all paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of vehicles, both inside and out
  • Tramping out from time to time will be necessary

Requirements:

  • Hold a valid Category C+E HGV licence
  • Hold a valid Driver CPC qualification
  • Hold a valid Tachograph card
  • Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Category C+E HGV driver
  • No more than 6 points for minor endorsements
  • Have a good understanding of UK driving regulations and tachograph laws
  • Have good geographic knowledge of UK roads
  • Be physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks such as loading and unloading goods
  • Have excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and nights
  • Have a clean driving record
  • Be able to provide references from previous employers
