CLAIMS SUPPORT TEAM MEMBER. UK HYBRID WORKING. Band 5. Full time, Mon - Fri 37.5 hours per week 8 A.M – 4 P.M. Flexibility, bonus scheme (5% of basic salary based on business and personal performance) and many more fantastic benefits!

Responsibilities:
- Handle work allocated to you by your Team Manager in line with agreed authority levels, claims handling guidelines and procedures.
- Maintain Claims Support workflow to a high standard, ensuring all actions are documented correctly and promptly, and Claims systems are kept accurate and up to date.
- Manage wide range of payment types within permitted authority limits, based on Claims requirements. Calculating income and banking funds accurately to reconcile financial records within agreed timelines.
- Action subrogation activity to ensure rapid recovery of outlay and early settlement of customer claims.
- Triaging of claims to route specific activities to specialized handlers/teams.
- Processing incoming and outgoing post/documentation to ensure it is directed to the relevant recipient.
- Confidently work with a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office and a range of 3rd party portals/platforms e.g.Audatex, Verfify and document management tools.
- Take personal ownership, follow through on promises and keep the customer (internal/external) informed until issues are resolved. Do all that you can to move that claim toward settlement and have in mind ‘what do I need to do to speed up claims settlement and reduce failure demand?’
- Respond to feedback given to you, from regular quality audits, to grow your own capability and that of your team.
- Be aware of and comply on an ongoing basis with the rules and requirements of the FCA and any other legal/regulatory/risk management frameworks.
- Knowledge of motor Claims – desirable
- Ability to react quickly to changing Claims processes
- Understanding of the FCA regulatory regime, FOS ethos and TCF initiatives
- Proactively react to incoming workflows
- Accurate data entry skills with great attention to detail
- Ability to multitask between numerous systems and portals
- Good level of both verbal and numerical reasoning, solves problems by developing and applying solutions
- Understanding of the principles of negligence and how this applies to motor accident liability
