WITDOUCK FARMS near Iron Springs AB, is seeking Seasonal General Farm Workers for the summer.
The Schedule:
We are looking for people to commit from June 1st - July 8th but we are flexible on start date if wanting to start in May. This role has the possibility to turn into a fulltime position.
June-July is our busiest season, employees can expect to put in 10+ hours a day on the field 6 days/week.
The Role:
General farm worker performs manual duties set out by the crew leaders (during shelter placement). The general laborers' responsibilities include processing equipment, handling bees and their shelters, maintaining a clean work environment, and maintaining the bee yard. General Labourers will be required to place bee shelters in canola and alfalfa fields in Southern Alberta.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build bee equipment to desired expectations
- Collect pollination equipment from field
- Place bees in fields
- Loading and unloading of bee equipment
- Assists crew leaders, and yard foreman on-site
- May operate forklifts, trailers, and other machinery and equipment to transport bees and bee equipment
- Minor woodwork
- Basic maintenance of equipment
- Miscellaneous field work relating to bees
The Qualifications:
- Clean 5 year driver abstract
- Ability to drive a truck and trailer
- Prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Able to work in a safe manner, following OHS Protocols
- Experience leading a crew or team will be considered an asset
- Ability to communicate in Spanish is an asset
Job Types: Part-time, Casual, Seasonal

Part-time hours: 60 per week
Salary: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
