About us
Symbiotic Farming Ltd is a contract farming business in Rhydlewis, managing a herd of 300 spring block calving cows for the farm owners. We aim for excellence and our goal is to generate milk from grass from a herd of healthy and happy cows, developing people and striving to farm in a sustainable way. We have progressed in the dairy industry and are keen for others to have the same opportunities that we have been lucky to be given.

We are looking for a General Farm Worker to join our small team and help with the daily operations of our farm. While experience on a dairy farm would be beneficial, more important is empathy with animals, a good work ethic, a desire to learn, and attention to detail. This job would also suit someone with no farming experience but an interest to progress in this rewarding industry.
Responsibilities:
- Milking
- Basic machinery tasks although this could be increased for an interested candidate
- General farm jobs such as setting up fences, moving animals, and ad-hoc tasks like tb testing and worming
- Monitor animal health, feed back to farm managers, and with time administer medicines
- Have high standards of cleanliness in the milking parlour and dairy
- Work alone and with other team members
- Calf rearing is managed by a team of specialist workers, but you may be asked to move calves, help with one-off tasks, and will have a role in managing colostrum and milk for calves

Essential:
