BDO Regulatory Solutions are currently recruiting for a Claims Regulatory Consultant to join our client, an insurance firm, based in Leeds.
We are offering an initial 3- 6-month contract starting in June with an excellent day rate, operating within IR35.
About the role:
We’re looking for someone with a strong regulatory and compliance expertise in the insurance space, ideally someone with working knowledge of an MGA / outsource model. The end goal is a framework to be implemented across all MGAs to ensure rigour and governance around ways of working to satisfy regulatory driven needs.
Key responsibilities include;
· Strong regulatory knowledge relating to general insurance claims.
· Ability to interpret the business strategy and regulations in order to build a claims procedure framework.
· General insurance industry experience.
· MGA and MGU.
· Exposure/understanding of Consumer Duty regulations.
· Exposure to outsourced providers/third parties.
· Risk assessments.
About you:
We’re looking for strong claim’s operational expertise and the ability to translate regulatory requirements into workable operational processes and controls. You will produce all relevant processes, procedures and documentation as well as carrying our associated risk assessments.
