About the role
Vorboss is looking for an organised and proactive Civils Support Driver to join our expanding Civils Engineering division. The Civils Support Driver will play a key role in the execution and delivery of Vorboss street works projects, with exposure to all areas of the Civils operation. They will work directly with the Civils Manager, providing additional equipment, materials, and general support to the team. They will ensure that they stick to guidelines and procedures and maintain high health and safety standards throughout. This role will combine warehouse work with moving between sites across London.
Responsibilities

- To ensure that the safety of colleagues and the public is at the centre of everything you and the team do.
- Liaising with the Civils Manager, Street Works Coordinator and Project Engineers to ensure effective coordination and completion of planned civils works.
- Safe setup, maintenance and removal of all Signing, Lighting and Guarding (SLG) and Traffic Management (TM) equipment from completed sites in accordance with Chapter 8 guidelines.
- Providing additional support to Civils Operatives throughout the day, including delivery of materials, tools, and Chapter 8 equipment to site.
- Managing stock levels for materials, consumables, hand/power tools and Chapter 8/SLG equipment in the warehouse.
- Capturing and reporting accurate data for each stage of a job
- Completing wash downs so that work sites and the surrounding area are left safe, clean, and tidy post-completion.
- A commitment to health and safety, including compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as applicable regulations (NRSWA).
The right candidate
- Practical experience within the street works sector, including SLG and TM setup.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to organise, coordinate and prioritise competing priorities.
- Clear and effective communicator, able to convey information concisely within the team and to the public.
- Full UK driver’s licence.
- Relevant NRSWA certifications.
- Familiarity with all tools and equipment used to undertake street works and groundworks.
- Must have a clean driving license
