Job Description Position: Civil Operative Location: Runcorn, Cheshire Hours: 40 Duration: 6 Months Are you a Civil Operative who has site experience on any of the following: Chemical/Petro/Oil & Gas/Power? Here at Engenda Group we are looking for 2 x Civil Operatives to be based on site in Runcorn. We have a fully embedded site team at Runcorn including Directors, s Managers, HSE advisors and material controllers, as well as dozens of trade operatives who are based here all year round, giving you full support at every level. Responsibilities: As a Civil Operative, you will be responsible for supporting our site operations through the efficient maintenance and repair of civil infrastructure. Your primary duties will include: Conducting routine inspections of civil structures, including roads, buildings, drainage systems, and other relevant infrastructure. Identifying and reporting any defects or damages to the site manager or relevant authorities, promptly initiating appropriate repair and maintenance measures. Assisting in the construction and installation of new civil structures, ensuring adherence to industry standards and safety guidelines. Operating and maintaining various tools, equipment, and machinery required for civil maintenance and repairs. Collaborating with internal teams, including engineers, technicians, and ors, to ensure the timely completion of projects and tasks. Complying with all health, safety, and environmental regulations to maintain a secure working environment for yourself and colleagues. Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills: Proven experience as a Civil Operative or a similar role within an industrial or construction environment. Sound knowledge of civil construction and maintenance techniques, including the use of tools, equipment, and materials. Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to civil operations. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently. Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders. Physical fitness and stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy objects when necessary.
