Team and office

You will be working within an experienced team of highway engineers delivering professional services of the highest quality. This team works closely with Transport Planners, Traffic Modellers and both Structural and Environmental Engineers. This team work on some of the very interesting and complex in the region, including the Midland Metro, feasibility of major schemes for National Highways and also have involvement with HS2. We work with both public and private sector clients. You will be mentored and developed in the role by the Pell Frischmann team in the office. Flexible working is in operation in the office. You will have the opportunity to work closely with staff in other Pell Frischmann offices across the UK. Regular social activities and social value initiatives are arranged and all staff are encouraged to take part.

Location of office

The Pell Frischmann office is located in the 3rd Floor of Edmund House, 12- 22 Newhall Street, Birmingham, West Midlands England, B3 3AS. The office is located in the city centre and has excellent transport links.

About the role –

A career in Civil Engineering is an in demand, interesting, challenging, diverse, flexible, socially and environmentally responsible profession, which enables quick progression in an exciting fast paced environment. You will be expected to use your own initiative and develop technical skills to support multi-disciplinary project teams as you learn. Some key aspects you will cover will be:

  • Learning to use Civil Engineering design software
  • Reviewing and writing reports
  • Working with tenders
  • Providing calculations for a range of Engineering projects
  • Learning the process of Civil Engineering projects, more geared towards highways and transport.
