Site Engineer - Essex - up to £45,000 plus package

We are working with a large Civils and Infrastructure contractor who are seeking a Site Engineer to join their thriving business and work across multiple sites.

Overview

• Responsible for the setting out, levelling and surveying the site across commercial, residential and industrial projects.
• To set out detailed works as per the contract drawings, ensuring that checks are made on a regular basis.

Job Role

• To identify design errors before implementation on site and liaise with designers to overcome any identified issues.
• To receive all drawings and information and set out sites in accordance with same.
• To provide all necessary as built drawings and information.
• To provide all calculations in respect of quantities, temporary works and statutory authorities.
• To plot information from and to survey equipment.
• Undertake survey works – pre-commencement and upon completion.
• Document control of on-site drawings and drawing register.
• To keep measuring equipment in a suitable condition for accurate measurement.

Key Skills Required

• Problem Solving and Traffic Management.
• Experience of drainage, roads, sewers and ideally S278 works.
• Setting Out.
• CAD drawings.
• IT and Supervisory Skills.
• At least 2 years Engineering within the UK Construction market.

Qualifications

• HNC Civils or Degree within Civil Engineering.
• Enka or similar approved qualification in setting out.
• Experience in the use of CAD software.
• CSCS Professional/Manager’s Card.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
