We are hiring a Entry Level (EI/EIT) Civil Engineer with an interest and education focus on water and wastewater infrastructure engineering to work in our Coeur d’Alene, ID office. While applying technical civil engineering knowledge and skills, this designer position will:
- Play key roles in all phases of project planning, design, and construction management.
- Plan, design and implement critical community infrastructure projects including water distribution and treatment, wastewater collection, treatment and reclamation, irrigation, and storm water infrastructure.
- Provide engineering support for various multi-disciplinary projects including water, wastewater, irrigation, stormwater, and municipal public works projects with city, county, state, and federal clients.
- Attend public meetings, forums, and open houses to support senior project managers and engineers and answer questions from the public.
- Analyze engineering data, interpret plans and specifications, and make sound decisions to solve challenges.
- Collaborate with other project managers, senior engineers, EITs, operators, planners, public agencies, and contractors on projects. Workshare with other offices.
- Utilize design tools such as AutoCAD Civil3D, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, WaterCAD, and InfoSWMM.
Salary Range: Starting at $67,000 a year/determined by experience. Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or equivalent is required.
- This is an entry level position; however, more senior applicants of any level are welcome to apply.
- Certification as an Engineering Intern/Engineer-in-Training is required (passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam in any state).
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Experience with AutoCAD/Bluebeam or other PDF tools are desired.
- Experience with hydraulic modeling is desired, but not required.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and writing skills.
