As our Senior Finance Systems Consultant, you'll be part of a team that is driving and delivering instrumental change across Bupa. Bringing together your appreciation of financial processes and Oracle you'll be providing systemised process solutions to our entire group financial planning and reporting. This is a role that will make a big impact.
Bupa has been undertaking a large-scale, multi-year program to reshape the way we perform reporting, actuarial, tax and treasury processes. This includes the support of a new global Planning Tool underpinned by Oracle EPBCS technology, as well as the new IFRS17 reporting standard. This is an exciting opportunity for you to utilise your finance and IT knowledge, working closely with finance users to improve reporting practices.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Contribute to the efficient operation of the Business-as-Usual Global Financial Planning tool (Oracle EPBCS) that support Business Planning during the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles.
Drive and coordinate continued improvements and enhancements to the Oracle EPBCS environment, from supporting in translating clients' technical and accounting requirements to application configuration in the Planning & Forecasting area, all the way to design/build solutions and support of the SIT/UAT of the enhancements.
Provide a high level of service to the Financial Planning and Analysis teams (in the Group as well as globally), understanding in detail their reporting needs and being the go-to person for all system related activities.
The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following:
Expertise in Oracle Cloud EPM tool and/or Hyperion Planning solution with proven experience of delivering and/or operating large-scale global solutions
Solid technical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and present data clearly
Good understanding of data processing, data uploads, interfaces with other systems, data extraction, and manipulation, all the way to effectively presenting and reporting it
Customer-focused mindset
Strong finance process understanding with experience in demands faced by a large global company and its financial reporting process (including the necessary process controls)
Ability to work well independently and within a team environment
Ability to manage project schedules and workload within a collaborative team framework
Excellent verbal communication skills
Consulting experience is desirable
