Job description
We are seeking a Building Control Surveyor to join our team.
Qualifications:
- Qualified with either CABE, RICS, or CIOB
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections and assessments of construction projects to ensure compliance with building regulations and standards.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to architects, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding compliance issues and necessary improvements.
- Review and approve plans, drawings, and specifications to verify compliance with relevant regulations.
- Carry out site visits and inspections at various stages of construction to ensure adherence to approved plans and regulations.
- Prepare comprehensive reports outlining observations, findings, and recommendations for corrective actions.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as engineers and architects, to ensure effective coordination and compliance throughout the construction process.
- Stay updated on current building regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
Requirements:
- Possess a valid qualification with either CABE, RICS, or CIOB.
- Extensive knowledge of building regulations and standards.
- Proven experience in building control and construction inspection.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in using relevant software and technology for inspections and reporting.
