Cigar Master - Tasting Room
The Peninsula London is excited to announce that we are seeking a Cigar Master to work within our Cigar Tasting Room, reporting to the Tasting Room Manager. This is an instrumental position accountable for the efficient operations of The Tasting Room.
Our Cigar Tasting Lounge provides a relaxed and refined ambiance in which guests of the Hotel or Brooklands will be able to enjoy a finely curated choice of cigars from our humidor. The Cigar Lounge will feature a bespoke walk-in humidor with a great selection of Cuban and New World cigars, including rare, vintage and limited editions, with smoking on the terrace possible.

Key Accountabilities
- Ensures the delivery of exceptional guest service, providing friendly, yet discreet and unobtrusive service in greeting, seating, and waiting on all guests.
- Develop a cigar culture within The Peninsula London and ensure that all colleagues receive relevant and meaningful training.
- Curate a bespoke Cigar and retail offering that is market-leading and profitable.
- Actively, yet with style and grace, promote the sale of the Cigars lockers at the Hotel.
- Maintain all cigar storage areas, including lockers to the correct air quality, temperature, and humidity.
- Proactively make recommendations for Cigar purchases.
General Requirements
- Must possess exceptional knowledge of Cigars with senior management experience working with cigars within a cigar shop/lounge as well as beverage knowledge.
- Experience in training and leading a team within a bar or cigar service environment.
- Relevant and related hospitality and cigar skills and studies.
- Additional languages are appreciated.
- Friendly and positive with a flexible approach and ability to work under pressure.
- Good financial acumen.
