Job description
We are looking to recruit a CI Manager who will be joining our team at ABP UK Ellesmere. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a consistent and successful deployment of Clearsteps Lean program. They will be leading and coaching site team in the development and implementation of continuous improvement actions to achieve breakthrough results in key performance metrics, including measurable improvements in safety, quality, productivity, service, cost, waste and employee development. The CI Manager will be responsible deliver training on Lean techniques and the Clearsteps process to site teams
- Work closely with the Regional Lean Manager to train site leadership and other key personnel on Lean concepts with the ABP Lean deployment strategy
- Work closely with Regional Lean Manager and Site Leadership teams to develop on site CI resources -CI Champion
- Coach site CI Champion and members of SLT in the effective delivery of Lean improvement projects
- Develop a thorough, effective, and timely continuous improvement plan to address the top needs at both sites
- Identify barriers to deployment of the continuous improvement plan and work with RLM and Site Leadership Teams, including GMs to remove them
- Work with site leadership to update and re-prioritise the plan to maintain focus on the most critical site objectives on both sites
- Coach and mentor others on Lean so it becomes engrained in the sites culture.
- Develop shop floor experts capable of driving Lean in their areas including, but not restricted to implementation of CIRFs, 5S, Problem Solving
- Provide regular reports of data and actions to measure progress against the site objectives on both sites
- Make recommendations, based on site experience to enhance effectiveness of Lean program in future rollouts on both sites
- Liaise closely with site Technical team to ensure that suggested activities do not compromise food safety or customer requirements
- Upholding, safeguarding, and promoting the organization's Vision, Values & Goals philosophies
- Raising the profile of Lean across the Business
- Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt minimum
- Degree qualified , ideally with an engineering background
- Extensive experience of implementing and supporting a TPM Programme
- Ability to understand the whole process from supplier's supplier to customer's customer
- Strong interpersonal skills, and proven ability to work in a collaborative and influential manner with a range of colleagues
- Ability to lead, manage and motivate
