Job description
Churchfields Farm first opened its doors to the public in 2015 and is fast becoming one of Worcestershire's best visitor attractions. We are looking to recruit an experienced Fun Farm Manager to join our team, responsible for the day to day running of the Fun Farm and seasonal events and providing memorable experiences for our visitors. This is a hands on and varies role so we are looking for a highly efficient manager with the skills to drive Churchfields continued growth through investment in new play equipment, glamping and events.
Key responsibilities
- To ensure the smooth day-to-day running of Churchfields. This includes general opening, Fun Farm, Parties, School Visits and Seasonal Events
- Managing customer enquiries, ticketing and reviews
- Cashing up and end-of-day procedures at Churchfields
- Work with the owners and wider management team on business strategy and development of Churchfields annual events calendar and activities
- Pricing structure, tickets, and promotions
- Planning and budgeting for new attractions
- Marketing & social media
- Recruiting and managing team in the Fun Farm
- Managing Rotas & Staff Training
- Ensure that all staff are knowledgeable, polite and courteous, and adhere to dress-code and uniform policy at all times
- Look for ways to enhance the customer experience with new ideas, operational improvements, and the day-to-day running of the business
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness and ensure that all areas of Churchfields are well-maintained throughout the year
- Ensure that all relevant Health & Safety and COSHH requirements are met and are accompanied by up-to-date Risk Assessments
- Manage a rota for daily Health & Safety checks of the Fun Farm - to be carried out by the Maintenance team or a senior trained member of Churchfields staff
- Provide support to the wider business where necessary, working closely with our Catering Manager and Functions Manager
Job requirements
- The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar or relevant environment such as retail, leisure or a visitor attraction
- Proven success managing a large team and coordinating events
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Able to efficiently run the back-office administration of Churchfields; experienced in using Microsoft Office, and able to learn new systems easily
- Confident managing and training a large team
- Calm when working under pressure
- Highly organised with a can-do attitude, always striving to deliver a great experience for our visitors
- First Aid training and experience
- Flexible and able to work additional hours when the business requires
- You must be able to work one day at the weekends and during school holidays
This is a full time role (40-45 hours per week) based in Salwarpe, NR Droitwich.
