Children & Young Person’s Support Worker
Do you have the passion, drive and initiative to deliver a range of age appropriate activities & services to children & young people? You will be working with children & young people who have been witness to, or victims of, domestic abuse now living with their parent, in our refuges & dispersed properties in the Bradford and Keighley areas.

About The role
As a Children & Young Persons Support Worker, you will be supporting families with children and young people living within our temporary supported accommodation. You will work in a trauma informed way, with an holistic family approach, helping to identify support needs and creating individual support packages to safeguard and reduce the risk of further harm, helping children and young people to achieve their goals. You will work with partner agencies in a collaborative way and create positive working partnerships to enhance the support offer to our children and young people. In this challenging but rewarding role you will advocate and be the voice for our children and young people, ensuring they have an increased sense of safety and wellbeing.
About you
You will have experience of working with vulnerable families/children and young people and the ability to adapt to children and young people of all ages. We are looking for someone with a professional, can-do attitude but most importantly someone with the passion and drive to help children and young people gain confidence in their daily lives and feel safe and empowered. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a patient and friendly approach. Within this role you will need to be able to work on you own initiative and think outside of the box, be creative and bring a positive energy to help our children and young people feel an integral part of our support service.

Full time, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, £24,972. Fixed term for 3 years
