Here at Bleep360 Care we are a 24hr healthcare company looking for experienced support workers based in Plymouth who have a dedication and passion in supporting vulnerable people and impacting their life in a positive way. You will be joining a team of people who provide their clients with safe and warm-welcoming environments. We specialise in looking after children/young people with complex and challenging needs in a variety of locations and settings. Our clients' needs include learning disabilities, autism, some of whom are non-verbal, challenging behaviours and self-harming tendencies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working as part of a team to support the client as well as other staff
- Following and understanding the care plan in place, suggesting changes where necessary
- Positively manage challenging situations and behaviours appropriately
- Building a therapeutic rapport and sense trust in order to help the service user to manage their anxieties
- Supporting service users to build and maintain a sense of routine in their daily living activities and providing them with the support needed to adapt into the community
- Manage and impose appropriate boundaries for the safety of the service user and others
- Completing daily notes
- Commitment to making a positive impact and looking after the wellbeing of the service user
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Experience supporting clients with challenging behaviour in a mental health/social care setting.
- MUST have minimum 6 months experience working specifically with teenagers/young adults in a care setting
- Strong understanding and experience working with mental health issues/disorders
- Experience using de-escalation techniques
- Caring and sensitive nature, to encourage and motivate the service user to participate in hobbies and activities they enjoy
- x2 satisfactory references
- Valid Right to Work
DESIRABLE
- Restraint training such as MAPA/PMVA
- A clear DBS on the update system
- Positive Behavioural Support training (PBS)
- NVQ/OFC level 3 in Health and Social Care
