NIGHT STAFF

Are you looking to make a real difference to the lives of Children & Young people?

We are seeking appropriate residential support workers to join our team at our Residential Childrens Home. We are looking for you to join us in making a positive impact on the lives of the young people in our care.

The children in our care are between 11-16 years of age and have a range of complex needs - which may include emotional and behavioural difficulties. You will be asked to work alongside qualified care givers and clinicians in homely settings that care for no more than 2 young people at a time.

You will be involved in providing appropriate supervision to children and young people during late night hours, supporting them with their routines, and maintaining paperwork and enriching their lives through great bed time routines and emotional warmth. This package of care, which you will play an important part, is aimed to support the development and the emotional wellbeing of the children in our care.

Example of our shifts:

Shifts for this role will include a mixture of sleep ins and wake ins for staff members.

Duties:

  • Paperwork, and report writing
  • Safeguarding young people
  • Support with routines and sleep patterns
  • Carrying out appropriate bed time routines
  • Supporting young people with activities

You could be offering support managing extremely challenging behaviour, the right type of person needs to be flexible, adaptable and able to read situations and help our young people make positive choices.

Desires

  • Level 3 NVQ in Residential Childcare or equivalent - desirable

Job Type: Zero hours contract

Salary: £10.00-£12.58 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

Licence/Certification:

  • NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (preferred)
