Are you experienced in providing Complex Care to children and young people?
Apollo Home Healthcare are seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistants to support a young boy with complex care needs.
We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistants who are passionate about their job, enjoy delivering one to one support and who can build positive relationships with our service users and their families.
Our service user is a 6-year-old boy, who lives at home with his family in Walsall.
He attends school during the week and as part of his care team you will be required to attend with him; meeting at the family home for 7am to support with getting ready for the day and the arrival of the school transport.
Throughout the day your role will be to support all his personal, clinical, mobility and social care needs within his education setting and at home on a 2:1 basis.
You will provide, reassurance, and nurture to make a positive difference to his day-to-day life.
He loves to spend time outdoors, visiting the Sealife centre to see the penguins and his favourite film is the Lion King.
Listening to music and exploring with crafts, sensory activities and bubbles is also some of his favourite things to do.
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate previous experience and knowledge in tracheostomy care, preferably children.
All team members must be fully vaccinated from COVID 19 – proof will be required if successful.
Our service user has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team.
Essential Experience Required
- 3 months previous care experience
- Medication Administration
- Personal Care
- Moving and Handling
- Tracheostomy Care (preferably with children)
- Covid – 19 Vaccinations
Desirable Experience
- Ventilation management
- Cough assist
- Suctioning
- PEG Feeding
Shifts Available
- Full Time / Part time
- Days 7am-5pm
- Monday – Friday
- 2 - 5 shifts per week

Weekdays £11.00 per hour (£110 approx. per 10-hour shift)
Weekends £11.50 per hour (£115 approx. per 10-hour shift)
