Children s Community Nurse

Children s Community Nurse Man, Isle of

Isle of Man Government
Full Time Man, Isle of 10.56 - 12.04 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

We are seeking a passionate, hardworking and motivated Children’s Community Nurse to join our team on the beautiful Isle of Man, where we are aiming to become the best, small island-based health and care system!

About the role and our team

In this role, your clinical skills, innovation and enthusiasm will be put to excellent use whilst supporting patients with a wide variety of conditions and implementing our integrated service to continue to reduce hospital attendances. You will manage your own clinical caseload of children and be responsible for undertaking appropriate assessments, investigations and examinations of patients.

Your focus will be on delivering day to day, evidence-based nursing care and case coordination for children and young people with acute, short and long term nursing needs to facilitate early supported discharge.

The Integrated Women's, Children's and Families Services are on a pathway of transformation and this is truly an exciting time to join our team as we are developing and expanding to provide care for patients within our community.

If you would love the opportunity to work in an environment where you are actively supported and developed to thrive, this could be the perfect role for you!

What can this role offer me?

  • By joining us you’ll be stepping away from NHS pressures and demands, as the Island’s healthcare system is similar but separate to the U.K. NHS.
  • Developing our team to be the best they can be is important to us and we actively support your own personal career goals, aspirations and development. This includes the use of our Learning, Education and Development Centre and the fantastic range of fully funded courses we support.
  • You will have the opportunity to train to be a non-medical prescriber, specialising in an area of your choice. As well as this, you can also develop your leadership skills by getting involved in managing and developing the Nursery Nurses within the team.
  • We offer competitive salaries which tend to be higher than UK salaries with opportunities for annual pay increases for many roles.
  • You will enjoy generous annual leave entitlement starting at 27 days and 10 public holidays.
  • For candidates not on the Isle of Man we offer a relocation package of up to £7,000 to get you, your things and your family to the island. You will also be eligible for housing assistance to help contribute towards your mortgage or rent on the island.
  • For those relocating or returning to the island you will receive a refund on your national insurance contributions made in your first year, this could be up to £4,000!
  • Great on site facilities and free car parking
