The NSPCC’s vision is to end cruelty to children in the UK and therefore we are committed to running our universal helplines including Childline. In order for Childline to reach all children in the UK in difficult and life-threatening situations and to remain accessible and relevant, the Childline digital offering is critical.
Childline Online Services are responsible for the Childline Website and Social Media channels and our content reaches well over 2 million children and young people each year. Online counselling, Childline email, information and advice, self-help tools, Ask Sam and message boards on the website, and social media are vital Childline services which must be appropriate and safeguarding risks managed.
As Website Supervisor you will use your knowledge and understanding of Childline’s digital offering to monitor and moderate user generated content across the Childline website and Social Media channels, assessing risk, and escalating content where required. You will have experience of risk assessment and safeguarding in the online environment to enable you to ensure safeguarding concerns are responded to quickly and effectively, and be proficient in analysing information and creating reports.
