Job description

JOB PURPOSE:

To provide leadership to the Quality Control Inspection department at Aerospace Surface Treatments to ensure all work carried out is to the required standards and meets customer specifications. Training will be given for Q-Pulse and ERP systems where needed.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Inspection of First off components for wet line and painted parts
• Stage and Final Inspection of surface treated components
• Ensuring all work carried out is within customer and industry specifications
• First Article Inspection to AS9102 requirements
• Management of MRB (RCCA) system (Q-Pulse) – AST
• Supervision of inspection staff - AST
• Management of all customer quality concerns – AST
• Training and development of the Quality department – AST
• Conduct quality induction training to all new staff – AST
• Implementation of continuous improvement initiatives – AST
• Management of specific quality projects within capabilities
• Perform any other duties within your capabilities as directed by the Company

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Previous technical experience in a manufacturing environment
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Previous experience using hand measurement tools
• Knowledge of problem-solving techniques
• Use of PC and related programmes
• ·Strong communication skills
