The Role
We’re on the lookout for an awesome Chief People Officer for a 9-10 month fixed term contract. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will have a broad remit and be responsible for global People Operations, HR Business Partnering, L&D, and Workplace Experience. You will partner with our Senior leaders to ensure our 2023 People strategy is delivered to a high standard aligning to our company mission and goals through a structured OKR framework.
We have scaled quickly meaning there is a huge opportunity to have an impact as we continue to build out our People processes and infrastructure. This role is both operational and strategic so you need to be prepared to roll up your sleeves, manage the team to get the job done and plan for the longer term.
If you have experience in a dynamic and scaling environment this will be a big advantage in this role as we evolve through a period of rapid change.
What will you do around here?
You will be responsible for…
Executing the People team roadmap for 2023 within the OKR framework
Lead the People Operations, HR Business Partnering, L&D, and Workplace Experience teams
Lead the operational evolution of Talentful’s “best practice” people processes; ensuring these are clear, transparent and wherever possible automated
Support People team leaders in delivering quarterly OKRs and remove roadblocks where needed
Monthly and quarterly board reports
Present to wider organisation People team updates and success metrics
Business Partner to the Executive team and support strategic decision with a critical HR lens
Maintain the accuracy and credibility of our People data
Evolve and champion our D&I strategy, creating a compelling proposition that attracts and retains diverse talent to our business
Evolve and lead our Wellbeing strategy, creating a plan that fosters a culture of support and awareness

Are a proactive, action orientated and commercially focused people leader that thrives in fast-paced and dynamic organisations, preferably at scaleup stage
Have experience building or executing a global People strategy within the OKR framework
Possess excellent stakeholder management skills across multiple levels of leadership
Are a strategic thinker that can clearly articulate a vision or perspective towards solving business challenges
Can quickly and easily build followership across multiple teams whilst creating cohesion and alignment
Have experience across multiple disciplines within a HR/People function (for example L&D, Recruitment, HR Business Partnering, etc.)
Are an excellent communicator, who is comfortable presenting to small and large audiences
