About the team
Global Quality & Risk Management (GQ&RM) develops quality and risk management policies and procedures for KPMG and provides associated guidance. GQ&RM monitors the quality of service delivery across all of KPMG’s businesses, establishes and oversees compliance with risk management policies and protocols, helps protect the brand and reputation of KPMG, and ensures trusted and respectful relationships with the regulatory community across the KPMG network.
Risk Management, Technology and Information Protection are responsible for the development, maintenance, and assurance of the firm's critical global technology and information protection policies. We also design and deliver awareness training and co-author, with IOGC, the Global Privacy policies.
Role Summary
Reporting to, and working with the Global Head of Risk Management, Technology and Information Protection, this role, along with a further Global Senior Manager, is key to the successful delivery of our five Strategic Priorities.
Global Technology Risk Working Group- Enhanced Information Protection Controls Review
- Enhancement of the Policy for the Review of New and Modified Technology Solutions
- Information Risk Management Framework
- Development and Operationalisation of the Technology Risk Management Function
Assisting the Global Head to prepare for meetings and conferences, including preparation of materials- Monitoring, tracking and project management of strategic priorities
- Secretariat of the GTRWG
- Leading the update of the Global policy relating to New and Modified Technology Solutions
- Development and implementation our Target Operating Model and adoption of a GRC tool
- Budget, finance and recruitment oversight
Key Accountabilities
25% Providing support to the Global Head for Steering Group, Conferences and meetings involving GQRM or Global Technology leadership
25% Tracking of team projects and strategic priorities
10% Budget and financial oversight, including hiring approvals
15% GTRWG Secretariat and
25% Assist with the update of the Global policy relating to New and Modified Technology Solutions and other ongoing Technology policy matters
Experience & knowledge
- A significant amount of relevant experience
- Experience in information protection, technology, or risk management.
- Experience in project management and ability to manage and deliver multiple activities
- Proven working experience in a risk management role is preferred.
- Experience with IT risk management operating models, three lines-of-defense frameworks, integrated risk management practices, and/or risk intelligence capabilities
Technical skills, abilities & qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field from an accredited college/university; Master's degree from an accredited college/university preferred
- Core advisory skills including business process analysis, financial analysis, performance assessment, project management, risk assessment, designing and proposing solutions of identified challenges, overseeing execution and status reporting to executive management
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information as well as report writing and presenting findings.
- Strong verbal and presentation skills.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to write at a publication quality level in order to communicate findings and recommendations to the clients and senior management team
