Great Places is currently in the final stages of a merger with MSV (Mosscare St Vincent's Housing Group) this will create an organisation of 34,000 homes. More details of which can be found at The Role of CFO Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Chief Financial Officer will work alongside the leadership team in leading the development of Great Places Housing Group to provide quality homes and services and to achieving its corporate goals and ambitions. To own the finance agenda and contribute to shaping the broader vision. To deliver value for money and manage resources effectively and efficiently, ensuring that targets (financial and non-financial) are met. To develop, recommend and implement the Group's financial, governance and business assurance strategies, accounts, controls and financial affairs ensuring they are current and reflect best practice and technological advancement. To ensure that the Group's Treasury Strategy is current, reflects market conditions and meets short, medium and long term funding requirements. To be responsible for the effective management of external relationships including advisors. To ensure that Great Places has an appropriate, robust and prudent business planning framework in place. To foster a culture of high performance and knowledge sharing. To inspire and motivate colleagues, developing and managing team members (direct and indirect) effectively and enabling them to give their best. The Candidate Professionally qualified (ACCA / CIMA / CIPFA or equivalent). Significant senior financial management experience in a social housing context. Proven relationship builder and influencer with stakeholders. Proven leadership skills at a senior level - both strategic and operational, across multi-disciplinary teams. Experience of effectively managing financial budgets. Experience of tender preparation. Proven experience in setting and delivering strategic policy. Proven experience of working with Boards. The ability to inspire, motivate and influence a large and diverse workforce by role modelling behaviours, influence and persuasion. Effective communicator across a wide and varied workforce.
