Position Summary:

A vacancy has arisen for a chemist in the Product Science team. This team offers an opportunity to tackle a range of technical challenges offering chances to grow and develop and learn about a key area of the Infineum business. The role will provide laboratory, rig and technical support to the team, collaborating to develop and deploy strategic capabilities to enable the next generation of product platforms. The team works closely with the Capability Science team, Component Delivery, Product Development and support functions such as IP law and the Regulatory team.

Key Outputs: What we can expect from you
  • Proactively contribute to the high safety standard of the group
  • Operate rigs and screeners in the lab
  • Design, recommend and develop testing methodology using rig test expertise
  • Design, recommend and execute experimental programmes with support from supervisor
  • Participate in project / activity teams and present results and conclusions of the work
  • Liaise with external service providers to ensure analytical, bench and engine testing are delivered to a high quality standard and against established timelines
  • Any additional responsibilities as assigned

  • Effective multi-tasking, prioritisation and time-management skills
  • Hands on experience of safe, rigorous delivery in a lab environment
  • Capable of drawing technically sound conclusions from data, summarise, document and present results clearly on their work
  • Able to interact and communicate proactively in the team and with the wider technical community
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with general guidance from supervisor
  • Competent user of data analysis packages and word processing software
  • Strong scientific background with lab experience is preferred
