Black and White Hospitality are an innovative company involved in the management of Hotels, Restaurants and Health Clubs. We have an exciting opportunity for Chef/Kitchen Assistant for our Lansbury Heritage Hotel. This is a boutique Grade 2 listed building a short walk from Canary Wharf, close to fast transport links to all the capital’s main attractions. It boasts 29 spacious suites/bedrooms with a restaurant, Spa and Gym on site.We are looking for a part-time Chef /Kitchen Assistant to work at the Lansbury Heritage Hotel where we offer breakfast and dinner to our hotel residents.As Chef /Kitchen Assistant you will play an active part in the production and service of quality food – where we offer a simple menu with hearty dishes. You may also need to assist with taking orders as well as preparing and cooking the food. Motivation and inspiration are essential to communicate the way forward and continue with the Hotel’s success. The role incorporates the need to help maintain standards and work as part of a team.The successful candidate will have the ability to prepare food to a high standard, be hard working and will have good communication skills.Catering qualifications and previous experience within a similar establishment would be an advantage.Duties:- Assist in food preparation and cooking- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas- Wash dishes and assist with kitchen cleanup- Receive and store food deliveries- Help with inventory management and stock rotation- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines- Collaborate with the F & B Team to ensure smooth operationsExperience:- Previous experience working in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness- Excellent communication and teamwork skillsJob Type: Part-timePart-time hours: 12 per weekSalary: £15.00 per hourBenefits:Company eventsDiscounted or free foodEmployee discountSchedule:Monday to FridayWeekend availabilityExperience:Kitchen: 1 year (required)Work Location: In personReference ID: CKA/LHH
