Cafe St Paul's, Restaurant and Cafe Bar has been open for a year now, serving a modern and innovative menu. We are located in the Bailgate area of uphill Lincoln.A great food offer is central to our business. Our focus is on seasonality, championing local produce and suppliers. We're open 6 days a week, serving breakfast, lunch and evening food with an ever-changing small plate selection as our speciality, all made in house.We are looking for motivated individuals that have a real passion for working with fresh ingredients to join our small team. You will have input on the creation of new dishes and the direction of our menu. There is no head office sending out spec sheets, we are completely independent and create our own dishes.You will have the ability to work confidently and should also have a keen eye for detail and precision. You will be expected to fit into our team, taking pride in your own work and the ongoing success of the business. You will be responsible for placing orders and building strong relationships with our suppliers, as well as maintaining GP margins to our standard.We are keen to motivate and support our team at all times and we love to work with people that have a positive, encouraging attitude coupled with the ability to deliver high quality food at pace.Our ideal chef candidates should have a minimum of 2 years professional experience in a busy kitchen. Experience is not so important for Kitchen Assistants but a can do attitude is essential. You will be accustomed to working with fresh ingredients and working to current hygiene legislation. You must be able to speak and understand English to a high standard, even if it's not your first language.
