Chef (Full time 39 Hours per week) *Care Home Awards 2022 Winners* Top 20 Rated Mid-Size Care Home Group in the UK One off Joining Bonus paid in your first payroll of £250 (full terms and conditions available on request) 39 hours per week including alternate weekends £13.00 per hour, (reviewed annually), plus a Premium shift payment for overtime worked, pension, hospital plan, emergency dental cover, confidential external counselling services, discounts at retail outlets and days out, and reduced gym membership 28 days holiday per annum (inclusive of allowance in lieu of bank holidays), plus additional days up to a max of 5 in line with length of service. REPORTS TO Operation’s Co-ordinator OVERVIEW As a Chef you will be responsible for leadership and kitchen management including preparation of high quality, nutritious and beautifully presented food. You will place orders for food and kitchen supplies and be aware of budget management. You will carry out regular supervisions and appraisals for kitchen assistants, observing all food hygiene and health and safety regulations and working as part of a team. Cooking qualifications and or a minimum 1 year experience in a commercial environment with kitchen management is required for this role. Minimum of Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate. You must be willing to work within the Adult Social Care Environment however previous experience within this sector is not essential for this role. The home is a short walk from local bus services and there is free parking on site. We provide residential care and residential dementia support for up to 69 residents with permanent care or short stay respite breaks.
