Hours: 40 hours across 5 days per week

is hiring a Chef de Partie right now at the La Bonne Auberge Restaurant - Holiday Inn Glasgow - City Centre Theatreland

So what does a Chef de Partie do?


Employee


  • Lead and organise the shift, ensuring the team are in the right place at the right time, to
    enable a great experience to our guests
  • Supervise, guide and motivate the team on the job
  • Understand and role model the Atlas Values and associated behaviours
  • Nurture a learning culture, coaching and developing others to success
  • Communicate effectively, ensuring that the team are aware of information that will affect their
    shift as well as Atlas updates and priorities
  • Undertake effective job check ins with the team
  • Support the Head Chef in ensuring that all new employees receive a warm ‘Atlas welcome’
    and thorough induction
  • Understand HR procedures and raise conduct and other such concerns to the HOM
  • Assist with the drafting of rosters, ensuring each area is effectively covered and within
    keeping of the hotels annual manning and payroll budgets. These guidelines are to be
    provided by the Head Chef.

Guest


  • In the absence of the Head Chef and Senior Sous Chef, conducts shift briefings to ensure
    hotel activities
  • Prepares, cooks and stores dishes
  • Provides direction to the Kitchen staff
  • Monitor standards of production to ensure quality.
  • Role model a great guest experience at all times and wherever this is required
  • Maintaining cleanliness, hygiene and Company standards in both public and private areas,
    taking pride in the hotel and its employee team.
  • Display a pro-active and consistent approach to stock control and cost control.
  • Lead communication and up skilling to Chefs/Kitchen Porters regarding the products and
    services the hotel has to offer, guest satisfaction scores and hotel areas of focus
  • Maintain compliance standards
  • Positively represent the Atlas brand

Other

  • Prepares in advance food, beverage, material and equipment needed for the service.
  • Cleans and re-sets his/her working area.
