Job description
We are looking for a Chef to work in our friendly family run pub located in the picturesque village of Mortehoe, near Woolacombe.
The successful candidate will work as a member of a small team, lead by the Head Chef.
The pub can get very busy at peak times and the successful candidate will work closely with his/her team mates and must remain calm under pressure and be repectful to other members of staff at all times.
The hours of work are between 11:00am and 9:00pm.
We use a clocking in system and you're paid for every minute you work, so if you start a few minutes early or stay a few minutes later, you'll be paid for those extra minutes.
A free cooked meal is provided during your shift along with unlimited free soft drinks, tea and coffee.
The hourly rate is £13 - £14 per hour, depending on experience. In addition to the hourly pay, a 50p per hour loyalty bonus will be paid in a lump sum at the end of the season.
You will also receive a share of the tips left at the bar, paid in a lump sum at the end of the season.
Holiday pay will accrue at 12.07% per hour worked and any unused holiday will be paid in a lump sum on leaving.
Wages are paid every 2 weeks by transfer in to your bank account.
This is a seasonal position, starting in March and expected to last until the end of October.
