Junior Sous Chef

Location: Beaulieu Road , Lyndhurst

Hours: Full Time

Salary: Up to £35,000 (DOE), plus service charge

Location: Lime Wood Hotel, Lyndhurst, Hampshire.

Hours: As part of a two-team system, you will work a 3.5-day week. Once you join you will be either part of a team working Wednesday to Saturday or Sunday to Wednesday - 7 shifts over 4 days. The hours: 8am- 11pm on three days and either 8-4pm Wednesday or 2-11pm Wednesday when you will be part of the kitchen handover.

Salary: Up to £35,000 (DOE), Plus Service Charge

Whilst service charge varies depending on bookings, in the busier months, as part of the kitchen team, you will be part of the service charge cut paid out monthly, which usually equates to more than one month’s salary extra per year.

A work, life balance…

While working within our Kitchen Crew you will be part of a two-team system. Working with the same team on a three-month rota rotation. No one works a full weekend here unless you ask!

We are looking for a Junior Sous Chef who will be hands-on throughout all four areas of the kitchen. You will assist the Head Chef and Sous Chefs in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen and play a key role in supervising and developing junior members of our brigade. You will ensure the highest standards of food preparation and delivery, as well as effective communication across all sections of the kitchen.

Experience as a Senior Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef in a Michelin starred restaurant or similar establishment is preferred, also a keen understanding or desire of hotel work, along with a positive working attitude and passion towards working with the finest ingredients.
