Position: Chef Location: London, United Kingdom

Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our team in London. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation. You will collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative and delicious menus, and ensure that all dishes are prepared and served according to established standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and execute high-quality dishes in line with the restaurant's culinary standards and menu offerings
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to create and develop new menu items, taking into account seasonal ingredients, dietary restrictions, and customer preferences
  • Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices are followed in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • Manage inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure the availability of fresh ingredients and supplies
  • Train, supervise, and mentor junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development
  • Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, reporting any issues or malfunctions to the appropriate personnel
  • Adhere to cost control measures, minimizing waste, and optimizing food production efficiency
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, upholding high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Stay updated with industry trends and techniques, continually expanding culinary knowledge and skills

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Chef in a reputable restaurant or culinary establishment
  • Extensive knowledge of various cooking techniques, culinary trends, and ingredients
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail and a passion for creating exceptional dishes
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices in a kitchen setting
  • Creativity and innovation in menu development and presentation
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are a plus
