Overview of project/role

To deliver the planned inspection & maintenance works to program and compliant with Maintenance standards e.g. 1-158 Track-Inspections & Maintenance standard, 1-159 Track-Dimensions & Tolerances.

To escalate and mitigate outstanding defects using the Temporary Approved Non Compliance P351 process and escalate all non-compliances in an efficient and timely manner.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensuring staff assigned are correctly certified to undertake planned works
  • Liaise with the Supervisors providing accurate and detailed information in a timely manner
  • Ensure completed works are compliant to Tube Lines and LU Engineering Standards, Process & Procedures and ensuring procedures and processes.
  • Delivery of Track and Civils core Safety, HR, Environmental, Technical and Management briefings on a regular basis and undertake regular inspections to verify those briefings.
  • Responsible for the escalation of non-compliant defects in a timely and efficient manner.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Essential
  • Proven ability in site supervision in a Railway environment.
  • PWT EH/TH to protect themselves/work group
  • Understanding of Computerised Asset Management systems
  • Repaired and Modified Asset (T002/3) Safety critical licenses to enable the track to be handed back to traffic.
  • Competent in implementing and removing Temporary Speed Restrictions
  • Certified to Emergency First Aid level
  • Full Clean Driving Licence
Desirable
  • NVQ Level 2 Safety certified
  • Temporary Approved Non Compliance [TAP] certified
  • Certified to full First Aid level with recognised training supplier

The post holder is expected to hold and maintain the relevant certification to undertake the role.
