Job title – Chargehand
Salary – £61,163 PA

Contract Type – LU Operational / Grade: TC12-Nights
Overview of project/role
To deliver the planned inspection & maintenance works to program and compliant with Maintenance standards e.g. 1-158 Track-Inspections & Maintenance standard, 1-159 Track-Dimensions & Tolerances.
To escalate and mitigate outstanding defects using the Temporary Approved Non Compliance P351 process and escalate all non-compliances in an efficient and timely manner.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensuring staff assigned are correctly certified to undertake planned works
- Liaise with the Supervisors providing accurate and detailed information in a timely manner
- Ensure completed works are compliant to Tube Lines and LU Engineering Standards, Process & Procedures and ensuring procedures and processes.
- Delivery of Track and Civils core Safety, HR, Environmental, Technical and Management briefings on a regular basis and undertake regular inspections to verify those briefings.
- Responsible for the escalation of non-compliant defects in a timely and efficient manner.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Essential- Proven ability in site supervision in a Railway environment.
- PWT EH/TH to protect themselves/work group
- Understanding of Computerised Asset Management systems
- Repaired and Modified Asset (T002/3) Safety critical licenses to enable the track to be handed back to traffic.
- Competent in implementing and removing Temporary Speed Restrictions
- Certified to Emergency First Aid level
- Full Clean Driving Licence
- NVQ Level 2 Safety certified
- Temporary Approved Non Compliance [TAP] certified
- Certified to full First Aid level with recognised training supplier
The post holder is expected to hold and maintain the relevant certification to undertake the role.
