To work at least 3 days a week with some Sunday afternoons.
To be responsible for the pastoral and spiritual well-being of residents and staff at Green Pastures Christian Nursing Home.
To undertake bereavement support to residents and families, signposting to other agencies when appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
To hold a small life group for residents on two floors once a week.
To support the leadership team with the daily staff prayer meeting.
To work with the Head Chaplain with weekly Wednesday services and fortnightly Communion Services on Thursdays.
To conduct a second weekly service on Sundays (3 out of 4 weeks) and organise a guest to conduct the service (1 out of 4 weeks).
To develop the quiet room into a Chapel, recognising that the room will still be used for nurses to have difficult conversations with relatives.
To provide spiritual support to staff, residents and relatives.
To work closely with the Home Manager and Well-being Lead to identify priorities for support.
To support well-being by accompanying residents on trips out of the home.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Volunteer
Part-time hours: 25 per week
