We have a fabulous opportunity at DS Smith for an engaging and motivated self-starter to join the Internal Communications Team as our Internal Communications Channel Manager. This is a fantastic role for the right candidate to be part of a dynamic and lively business function and implement their own ideas and processes.
This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.
This is role works as part of the wider Corporate Affairs team, working across a matrixed global environment and therefore, experience of business partnering with internal partners and managing a variety of internal communication channels is the key to being successful in this role.
Reporting into the Group Head of internal Communications, this role will drive the design, implementation and management of our key channels, from SharePoint intranet, email and digital screens to team briefing to successfully deliver internal communications across the business.
You will work closely with the Information & Technology team and colleagues from across our global business to ensure we are optimizing the platforms to their full potential, supporting with alternative market-led solutions as needed. Ensuring the content is received by the right audience is key, so being able to measure the effectiveness of our communication channels and activations is crucial to be able to perform well in this role.
You would also be business partnering with our Information & Technology function to develop and implement its functional communications strategy, content, and wider communication activities.

  • Relevant experience working in a channel communications role
  • Real passion for the latest technology and communication software
  • Experience of analysis and reporting to Senior Leadership Teams
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work independently but also comfortable building strong working relationships with colleagues around the business
  • Proactive, detail-orientated & solutions focused
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Confident, highly motivated and results orientated

Location: This is a hybrid role, split between the office in London Paddington (3 days in office) and home (2 days).
