Job Description Summary
A fantastic opportunity to join the Credit Control & Strategic Initiatives team in Consumer Credit Risk. You will be responsible for supporting credit risk input into a range of strategic projects & initiatives across the consumer credit portfolio.

Job Description
Our core purpose is to maintain a resilient portfolio through sustainable lending, to deliver the best outcomes for customers and stakeholders. We do this by taking ownership to act, while supporting each other and valuing difference. You'll work directly with Consumer Credit Risk Strategy and Product Managers, with responsibilities including:
  • Supporting consumer credit risk input on a portfolio of projects.
  • Providing subject matter expertise while managing and delivering required outcomes
  • Providing technical and strategic input, co-ordinating and shaping the credit risk response to new product launches, regulatory topics, business requirements and risk transformation activity
  • Providing analytical and technical insight into shaping solutions
  • Making authoritative recommendations that champion LBG’s sustainable growth agenda, optimally balancing risk vs. reward
  • Engaging and co-ordinating input from a broad range of partners (e.g., risk colleagues and business teams) promoting and embedding collaboration across teams and influencing delivery
  • Identifying, managing and reporting emerging risks, raising to senior leadership appropriately
  • Effectively prioritising across a range of activities
What are we looking for?
  • Change Management – experience of delivering new products or propositions involving multiple business functions
  • Credit Risk – experience of credit risk with knowledge of how we use strategies and scorecards to support our lending
  • Communicating effectively –a compelling communicator who can break down and explain complex topics to different audiences; technical & non-technical
  • Collaborates - builds effective partnerships and works collaboratively with a wide range of partners to meet shared objectives
  • Responsible lending – understand regulatory compliance and conduct risk for fair customer outcomes
  • Close attention to detail - as well as ability to stand back and look at the wider picture
Desirables
Our team is primarily based around our London, Chester, Cardiff, Hove and Leeds offices, but we have colleagues spread all over the UK. As a team we work flexibly following a hybrid working model, combining working from home with travel to an office location.
  • Experience of finance products or proposition development
  • Deputising for senior leadership as needed and supporting them to shape the credit risk future
