Job description

Chemical and Biological Engineering is a thriving department within one of the UK’s top Faculties of Engineering. We have a vibrant research culture spanning four themes:

• Materials and Products
• Biological Engineering
• Sustainability and Circular Economy
• Processes and Systems.

CBE is a major contributor to tackling the key challenges of this century – climate change, energy poverty, affordable medicines, sustainable agriculture and water use, safety, and green manufacturing. Our internationally renowned research is supported through funding from government and industrial sources in the UK and the rest of the globe. To drive forward our ambitious research agenda, we have one Chair position to provide leadership in one of the following areas of strategic importance:

• Process analytical technology
• Sustainability/ Circular Economy
• Digital Chemical Engineering
