We are hiring full-time and part-time Caregivers / Certified Nursing Assistants to join our team!
Job Purpose: Memory Enhancement Caregivers and/or CNA’s are responsible for providing a variety of services and resident care to protect, sustain, and nurture residents by assisting with activities of daily living and meeting other needs as required.
- Afternoon (2:30PM-11PM) and Overnight (10:30PM-7AM) positions available.

Essential Duties:
- Assists residents with daily activities such as; bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, mobility, incontinence care, changing of positions, and transfers.
- May assist with passing medication*
- Maintain a positive and homelike environment for residents while ensuring they feel safe and purposeful.
- Blends a variety of multi-sensory experiences into the resident's day.
- Responds to the dining needs of the residents and guests while maintaining Hollenbeck Palms hospitality and service standards.
- Invite, Encourage, Assist (IEA) residents in life skills and other life-enriching activities as indicated on resident's care plan and demographic profile
- Facilitate programs to engage memory care residents, promoting the autonomy of resident’s decision-making.
- Provides quality Customer Service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers, and vendors in a manner to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintains electronic log with all vital information thru Point Click Care.
- Follows all established Hollenbeck Palms Protocols for safety and infection prevention.
- Communication with supervisor/manager when there is a change in resident condition.
- Works as scheduled and demonstrates punctuality and dependability.
- Maintains accountability for understanding and following company and department policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:
- Dedication and passion to serve seniors with excellent customer service skills.
- A positive attitude, the flexibility to perform various duties in service to the residents, and the ability to work in a team environment are keys to success.
- Ability to make choices, decisions, and act in the resident’s best interest.
- Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and a level of understanding.
- Competent in organizational and time management skills
- Experience and/or training as required by state regulations; experience in long-term care community health, geriatric and/or rehabilitative aide, preferably with people with Alzheimer's/Dementia.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English in order to assist in emergency situations.
- Must be able to understand, follow, support and initiate policies and procedures of the facility. Must be able to recognize emergency situations and respond appropriately.
- Must clear criminal background with DOJ and FBI
- High School diploma/GED
- CPR/BLS certification
- Must be at least 18 years of age.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally push or pull more than 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals such as cleaning products and medical preparations. May be exposed to Aerosol Transmissible Diseases. May work with residents who become agitated.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally work in outside weather conditions.
