Job Description:
JOB DUTIES - Provides general nursing care (i.e., personal hygiene, routine vital signs, passing and picking up meal trays, positioning patients, lifting and turning patients, providing fresh water, applying/utilizing special equipment, assisting in the use of bedpan, urinal, or commode, ambulating the patient, pre and post-operative care, application of abdominal binders; performs routine treatment procedures including enemas, application of appliances of heat and cold, sitz baths, and specimen collections). Follows Hospital and Departmental policies and procedures. Professional Practice is based on the theoretical framework of nursing at Baptist Health Paducah including principles of Relationship-Based Care.
QUALIFICATIONS –
- High School graduation or completion of G.E.D verified.
- Successful completion of an Approved Aide Training Program preferred and/or state certification.
- Experience preferred.
