Permanent Contract | 29.6 hours per week | £21,575 to £21,968 per annum (pro rata for part time) (Grade D) | Norwich
An excellent opportunity to join a dedicated and enthusiastic team within the Norfolk Registration Service, offering you an office-based role in a challenging yet exciting environment. We are seeking a Ceremony Team Clerk to be part of our County-wide team dealing with the administration for all our legal and non-legal ceremonies.
If you are a ‘people person’ who is looking for a role where you will engage with members of the public, mainly over the phone or on email, for what is very likely to be one of the most important days of their lives, then this is the role for you.
You will be the first point of contact to deal with any requests for assistance or guidance regarding the ceremonies we offer. This is a customer facing role where you will be required to adapt your style of communication to your audience, demonstrate excellent communication skills and have experience of working with customers from all backgrounds.
The main duties of this role are to provide excellent all-round clerical, administrative and specialist support relating to ceremonies. A proven track record of working in a customer facing environment is required for this role, and if you have knowledge of sales, this is an added benefit. The aptitude to learn complex information quickly and put it into practice with speed and accuracy is essential. Cross-departmental communications are key to our business and are an everyday activity. You must have first-class IT skills and be confident working with Microsoft Office, and have a good general knowledge of spreadsheets, Outlook, Teams as well as bespoke IT systems. You must be a self-starter and have the ability to work without direct supervision in an efficient, professional and responsible capacity. We like our team to be proactive and innovative and bring fresh ideas and enthusiasm to ensure we continue to grow and deliver the best experience we can.
This is a part time role, but a flexible approach will be required, especially during our busy periods.
