Job description
This role is based in the Warrington Office in UK. Christian Aid is trailing a hybrid working approach, you will be required to attend the office for a minimum of 3 days per week with the option to work remotely for the remaining 2 days per week.
About us
There’s never been a better time to join Christian Aid’s Fundraising & Supporter Engagement Department. We would say that, wouldn’t we? But we mean it. Despite the challenges we’ve all faced over recent years, we have grown income and smashed our targets, making a transformational impact for people in poverty. Your next career step could see you joining our passionate and energetic team of poverty-fighters. We inspire more than 250,000 supporters and thousands of supporting churches to raise more than £40 million annually to tackle the root causes of extreme poverty.
We’re committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace, and recognise the value this brings in forming strong, creative and high performing teams. We welcome applications from all sections of the community, and from those with experience from outside of the voluntary sector. And no, you don’t have to be Christian to work here – we encourage people of all faiths and none to apply. We just ask that everyone lives out our values of dignity, equality, justice and love. We value a good work-life balance, so we’re open to part-time and flexible working. We also offer hybrid working for our office-based colleagues and the option of being a homeworker for most of our roles too.
About the role
Our team is in the unique position of being the first point of contact for the majority of current and potential supporters, both individuals and church representatives. We gain a very broad view of the work of Christian aid, both in the UK to generate support, and overseas to see the impact of that support.
We are the proud customer service team of Christian Aid. We inspire, we challenge, we develop and above all we work together and value each other.
About you
You will be a motivated enthusiastic person who believes in the values and aims of Christian Aid. You will relish the mix of responding to routine calls and emails, then innovating and collaborating to improve and increase engagement from new and old supporters. You enjoy working in a team but have the ability to work independently. You are comfortable sharing your skills and learning from others.
