WHAT TO EXPECT

The purpose of this role is to contribute to the design, development and delivery of business processes within the Manufacturing Programme department and will also identify and deliver Continuous Improvement (CI).


In this role, you’ll work with work with Manufacturing Programme Management (MPM) teams and all associated functions to investigate, plan and develop Business Improvement work streams.


You’ll have the opportunity to engage in the development of strong cross functional links across the business, working with Product Creation & Delivery (PCDS) process team, Product Engineering functions, Manufacturing Plant functions, Plant and Company Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Programme Teams, Purchasing, Supplier Technical Assistance, Business Excellence, Business Office and Finance functions.


WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Develop Launch Quality Operating System (LQOS) work streams from current state, driving for standardised JLR Launch processes and developing new processes where appropriate.
  • Support improvement projects relative to New Model Programme Launch involving the key areas of the Manufacturing Plants and Product Development., leading where appropriate.
  • Support the process to review and improve the Launch Deliverables within PCDS Programme Central and support Process Change Management activities.
  • Engage in the implementation of a Continuous Improvement methodology within MPM.
  • Support functional Training and Skills development and Subject Matter Expert (SME) work streams
  • Support process improvement projects, analysing data and creating recommendations.
  • Develop solutions for areas of process weakness and track implementation.
  • Work closely with the Current Model Launch Managers to embed process learning.
  • Support the implementation of all company led IT solutions into MPM.
  • Generate relevant metrics to measure the effectiveness of process improvement deployment.
  • Generate presentation materials for Management Governance reviews.
  • This Role supports hybrid working whilst requiring travel inter-site as appropriate.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Essential:

  • Relevant previous experience Business Process Improvement
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • High levels of computer literacy (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, VBA Macros, Power Apps)
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience in roles requiring the need to generate Key Stakeholder engagement across functions preferred.
