Hemel Hempstead General Hospital are currently seeking a Care Support Worker to join their Haematology department on a part time basis for the next 12 weeks. Working hours for the role will be Monday – Wednesday 9am – 1pm.

About the Trust

West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust provides acute hospital-based and specialist healthcare services to around half a million people living in Hertfordshire, north London and further afield. The Trust was the first hospital in Europe to treat patients with Puritan Bennett 980 ventilators, a type of ventilator that helps patients to breathe more naturally and recover more quickly. You will have the following qualification/experience:

· A minimum of 6 months experience of working as a Care Support Worker in a UK hospital environment within the last 2 years and either a Care Certificate or NVQ Level 2 or above in Health and Social OR

· 12 months experience of working as a Care Support Worker in a UK hospital environment in the last 3 years.

· Specific experience of working with patients that have learning disabilities or mental health conditions.

· Undertake regular mandatory training*

*Depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills.
