Job description
Due to expansion we are looking to recruit a committed, flexible self motivated cattery assistant to join our friendly team.
We are a small but busy boarding cattery set in the South Downs National Park, surrounded by conservation woodland providing a tranquil environment for our guests who can spend many happy hours watching the abundant wildlife.
Your duties will include:
- Daily cleaning, feeding and grooming of the cats in our care.
- Keeping records regarding health and wellbeing of each cat.
- Deep cleaning and disinfection of the pens when a cat goes home.
- Setting up the pens according to the individual cat's needs.
- Preparing all the cat's meals.
- Meeting and greeting clients and settling cats into their accommodation.
- Obtaining information concerning the cat and recording in their files (both on paper and electronically).
- Relaying any information to the owner regarding the cat's stay on departure.
- Answering the telephone, taking and recording bookings.
- Sending confirmation forms electronically.
- Keeping the workplace clean and tidy.
- Laundry.
You must be happy working in small teams and individually (once training has been given). Due to the need of occasional lone working, applicants must be over the age of 18 and hold a full UK driving license.
The ideal candidate should have experience working in an animal setting (preferably with cats). However training can and will be given.
Some computer literacy is required.
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-25 per week
